We run a mixed Windows and Mac network, and use wireless printers, other 802.11n devices and wireless printers. Never a single issue until we tried to add a new Airport to wirelessly run a Kodak Easyshare 3250 AIO printer. Airport configured fine, updated its firmware, and when I go to add a printer in System Preferences, it's fine to that point. Snow Leopard recognized the attached printer at the IP address, even stating it's an 'Eastman Kodak EasyShare 3250'.

BUT, when I go to finish the installation I get a 'Software for this printer isn't available from Apple.please contact the printer manufacturer for the most current software'. Here's the funny: On my wife's HP running Win 7 and Airport, it works FINE! Go figure, we use Apple software to make a Windows device print wirelessly. The symbolism is too funny. I hit the Kodak web site and they have NO drivers available; only a complete 44mb package that includes the drivers but I'm genetically chicken to install a comprehensive Kodak software package that may / may not interfere with my Lightroom, Aperture and Photoshop. I've tried LPR print, generic everything.

My question is really simple: Do I go ahead and 'risk' downloading Kodak's HUGE software package or does someone else out here in the Mac forums have had any luck configuring this particular printer across an Airport?
